Week in the Life of My Mom’s Cleaning Business
Hi again! It’s me, Riley. It’s been a little while, but I’ve been busy helping out with my mommy’s cleaning business, My Maid Pinellas. This week was super fun — I got to help again!
We did a special campaign in Safety Harbor. Mommy said that there will be more neighborhoods next time, but this week we started there. We took colorful flyers, put them in sandwich baggies, and packed them up for delivery. I helped stuff the bags and made sure each one had the right papers. We even added colorful fish rocks to each bag to keep them from blowing away and to catch people’s eyes. It felt like putting together goodie bags for a party!
Then we went driving all around Safety Harbor to drop them off. Christina drove the car, Mommy threw the flyers, and I handed the flyers to Mommy out of the box. We made a great team! We even saw a turtle crossing the road — I named him Flyer because he was helping us deliver.
I also came along to a house clean. Christina is learning the cleaning business from the top down — starting with hands-on cleaning before moving into even more important roles later. She wants to know exactly how everything works so she can teach future team members with confidence. She says it's fun and satisfying to make things sparkle. I watched her and Mommy clean the whole house — they were like magic cleaning fairies with vacuums and mops.
Christina was smiling a lot. She says it feels really good to clean because you can see the difference right away. Mommy says when you own a business, it’s hard work, but it means more time with me. That’s my favorite part.
If you live in Pinellas County — like Safety Harbor, Clearwater, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, or nearby — and you want your house to sparkle, Mommy says we’re here to help.
Love, Riley
