Preparing your home before we arrive helps us work more efficiently, ensures we can get to all the areas you want cleaned, and makes your results shine. Here’s what we recommend:
Clear personal items from surfaces so we can access and clean them thoroughly.
Remove or group small decor items together for better access to furniture.
Gather toys, shoes, laundry, pet items, and other loose items off the floors.
Clear personal toiletries from the bathroom counter-tops.
Load or hand-wash dishes so sinks and surrounding counters are available for cleaning.
Store away food, utensils, and small appliances that are not in daily use to provide access.
Making beds is included in the standard maid service. Prepare and leave out clean linen.
Please put away heirlooms, delicate items, or anything you would prefer us not to handle.
If you’d like certain items cleaned, but they are fragile, let us know in advance.
For everyone’s safety, keep pets in a separate area/outside of the cleaning zone during service.
If pets are nervous around strangers or loud noises, consider crating them.
Share any entry instructions, gate codes, alarm details, or parking notes in advance.
Make sure we can get into all areas you’d like cleaned.
Let us know about specific rooms, trouble spots, or cleaning product preferences.
Point out delicate surfaces so we can clean them properly.
Standard maid service: We Swiffer dust accessible surfaces, lightly dusting around personal items and decor.
Deep cleaning: We remove items from shelves and surfaces, wipe them down, clean underneath, and replace them neatly.
Organizing services: If you’d like help decluttering or organizing, we can schedule this as a separate service visit.
We’re happy to do a quick walk-through at the start to confirm your priorities/preferences.
You do not need to “pre-clean”. A simple tidy-up is all we need to do our best work.
